From supervet to supervets as world-renowned expert joins The Pets’n’Vets Family
Stuart Carmichael has switched ‘supervet’ practices to join the Pets’n’Vets Family’s flagship Roundhouse Veterinary Hospital in Glasgow’s Southside.
Formerly Managing Director of the FitzClinic (Fitzpatrick Referrals Oncology and Soft Tissue) and Fitzpatrick Learning Academy, Professor Carmichael will provide clinical consultancy and general mentorship to enhance further the range of cutting-edge clinical services at The Roundhouse.
Commenting on his appointment, Professor Carmichael said: “I’m delighted to join the dynamic Pets’n’Vets Family at The Roundhouse Veterinary Hospital, a facility which I rate alongside the very best I’ve seen, and look forward to contributing to its further development over the years ahead to the benefit of local pet owners.”
Welcoming Professor Carmichael into the Pets’n’Vets Family, Oliver Jackson, partner, said: “We’re thrilled that Stuart has chosen to switch supervet practices and return to Glasgow, where his distinguished career began, to give our clients and vets the benefit of his expertise.”
Stuart Carmichael BVMS, MVM, DSAO, MRCVS is a graduate of the University of Glasgow. He is a RCVS Diplomate and RCVS Specialist in SA Orthopaedics. The Pets‘n’Vets Family’s flagship Roundhouse Veterinary Hospital opened last year with the aim of making available to Glasgow’s pets the full gambit of veterinary treatments; everything from health advice and vaccinations to the most complicated surgical and medical care, including complex fractures, JPS (Juvenile Pubic Symphysiodesis), a ground-breaking surgical procedure that can help prevent hip dysplasia and minimally invasive laparoscopic (key-hole) surgery.
The Pets’n’Vets Family recently introduced interest free payment options on bills from £250 upwards, providing a solution to the issue of affordability for pet care.
