Historic former McEwens of Perth department store in Inverness set to be revolutionised following sale by Shepherd
Shepherd Chartered Surveyors has sold the historic former McEwens of Perth department store in Inverness city centre to a private investor (who, in a back-to-back deal, has pre-let the building to Revolution Bars) for £490,000. The purchaser obtained planning permission and a Premises Licence prior to concluding the deal.
The property covers two buildings which have been merged and include an attractive Grade B Listed building constructed in 1908 to a French Renaissance style together with an attached two-storey building from the 1930’s. It is positioned on the west side of Church Street close to High Street/Bridge Street in a prime position on the Inverness city centre pub and restaurant circuit.
Neil Calder, Associate at Shepherd’s Inverness office, said: “We are delighted to secure this deal for a property that will be converted into a two-storey bar and eatery, enhancing the hospitality offering in Inverness city centre. This deal marks the latest evidence of a buoyant market for investment in Inverness’s hospitality sector.”
