Shepherd sells prime industrial redevelopment opportunity in Inverness to Arnold Clark
Acting on behalf of Forest Enterprise Scotland, Shepherd Chartered Surveyors has sold a prime industrial redevelopment opportunity in Inverness to family-run car dealer Arnold Clark for in excess of the guide price of £1.25m.
The sale follows the relocation of the Mechanical Engineering Services workshop of Forest Enterprise Scotland to more appropriate premises at Henderson Road.
Prominently located on the north side of Harbour Road, one of the main thoroughfares within the Longman Industrial Estate, the prime business area of the city, the property benefits from a high-profile roadside location and enjoys easy connections to the main road network with the A82, A9 and A96 all readily accessible.
The property comprises a generally level and rectangular site extending to 1.3 acres and presently has three workshop/storage buildings with a concrete dock leveller in the centre.
Sandy Rennie, partner in the Inverness office of Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, said: “The site is without question one of the best in Inverness, benefiting from significant vehicle traffic on busy Harbour Road. We had a number of parties interested and, following a closing date being set, Arnold Clark was identified as the preferred party.”
Forest Enterprise Scotland is an agency of the Forestry Commission and manages the National Forest Estate on behalf of Scottish Ministers.
