Get on your bike for January Cycle Challenge to raise funds for East Renfrewshire Good Causes
The Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns has teamed up with Anytime Fitness to invite shoppers to get on their bike this week to participate in a January Cycle Challenge to raise funds for local charity East Renfrewshire Good Causes.
Taking place in the shopping mall outside Asda on Friday 27th January, 9am – 5pm, the January Cycle Challenge will see participants peddle a top-of-the-range static bike with a cycle route across East Renfrewshire mapped out on the display screen.
Michelle McCabe, Centre Manager at The Avenue, said: “This is a great way to get fit while raising funds for East Renfrewshire Good Causes, our nominated charity. The virtual cycle will take you on a spin around each of the locations East Renfrewshire Good Causes supports, not forgetting to pass-by The Avenue and Anytime Fitness’s soon-to-open new gym in Clarkston!
“Why not come along and watch as you shop? Or, better still, why not have a go for yourself, learn more about the new gym and peddle towards our target distance for charity!”
Craig Milne from Anytime Fitness Clarkston said: "We are delighted to be involved with The Avenue and East Renfrewshire Good Causes. We hope the public come along to help with the cycle and help support this good cause. We are due to open in February and we have great opening offers available. Come and speak to our team on Friday to find out more. We look forward to seeing you there.”
The Avenue Shopping Centre, owned by NewRiver, offers shoppers a warm and welcoming shopping experience conveniently located on the outskirts of Glasgow city centre.
