Shepherd Chartered Surveyors is offering a prominent development land opportunity for sale.

The 2.8 hectares of land is located close to Junction 2A of the M73 motorway on the western edge of the village of Gartcosh in North Lanarkshire.

Existing residential properties are located along the western boundary of the application site and an open area of agricultural land bounds the site to the north and east. To the south there is a roundabout which serves as a local distributor road linking the M73 to the village.

Planning consent has previously been granted for a roadside facilities development which included a petrol station, hotel, drive-through restaurant, pub/restaurant and replacement sports pitch. This development included a new spur access off the roundabout at junction 2A of the M73.

The site would now suit a variety of uses and, within the Strategic Development Framework for Gartcosh/Glenboig, has been identified for residential use.

Alastair Blyth, consultant at Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, said: “This is a prime development site for which we anticipate strong interest, particularly from residential developers.”
