Shepherd leads Margaret Dabbs London to first Scottish outlet
Shepherd Chartered Surveyors has led Margaret Dabbs London, the premium retailer specialising in feet and hand products and manicure and pedicure treatments for men and women, into the heart of Glasgow’s city centre for its first ever Scottish outlet.
The globally recognized brand has taken over the former men’s shirt and tie retailer T.M. Lewin’s 1800 sq ft ground floor and basement property at 13 Bothwell Street, from where it will offer its luxurious range of hands and feet products together with treatments from its on-site clinic.
Fraser Smith, commercial surveyor in Shepherd’s Glasgow office, said: “We’re delighted to secure this prime site in the heart of Glasgow’s renowned retail market and to find a home for this prestigious brand to introduce its premium offering to Scottish customers for the first time.
“Having researched the Glasgow market and identified the city as its ideal first location in Scotland, Margaret Dabbs of London approached us to identify suitable retail opportunities in Glasgow. Following a tour of possible properties, we drew up a shortlist and identified the property that would best fulfil their requirements.
Founder and CEO Margaret Dabbs said: “We’re very much looking forward to introducing our range of hand and foot products and treatments to the Scottish public for the first time. We’ve been impressed at how Shepherd were able to help us identify our first Scottish outlet and look forward to working with Shepherd to secure other retail outlets in Scotland.”
Following the opening of its Glasgow outlet next month, secured by Fraser Smith of Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, on a quoting rent of £40,000 per annum, Margaret Dabbs London will have nine clinics in the UK, with one in Dubai and another in Qatar. The retailer has already engaged Shepherd to find a suitable location in Edinburgh for its next Scottish outlet as part of its nationwide expansion programme.
