As well as a glittering array of music stars, celebrity chefs and food and drink outlets, next month’s Best Of The West Festival (BOWFest) – the family-friendly festival held in the grounds of the magnificent Inveraray Castle from 8-10th September 2017 – features a craft tent chock-a-block with a diverse range of stands, including the winners of its Business Gateway competition.

Eleanor, Duchess of Argyll, BOWFest chairperson, said: “Bursting with a vast array of hand-crafted items, our craft tent really does represent the range of bespoke arts and crafts available from the creative community of Argyll and offers something for everyone!

“No doubt our sponsor Bidwells will have a challenge on its hand to decide which stallholders should be presented with the coveted prize for best stand over the weekend.”

Music headliners at the festival include: Eddi Reader, Skerryvore, Skipinnish, Blazin' Fiddles, Hunter and the Bear and Tide Lines while The Best of the West Festival Kitchen on Sunday 10th September will feature: Masterchef: The Professionals 2016 winner Gary Maclean; Graeme Cheevers, head chef of Restaurant Martin Wishart, Cameron House Hotel, Loch Lomond and Paul Leonard, head chef at The Isle of Eriska Hotel Restaurant, both Michelin star restaurants.

Inveraray Castle, the jewel in the West Highland’s crown, provides a stunning venue for the event, which is fully under cover. The imposing, turreted castle, sits on the edge of Loch Fyne surrounded by the breath-taking scenery of the west coast. The Festival will take place in the grounds of the castle with the castle itself, hills and loch as a backdrop.

Best Of The West Festival (BOWFest) is supported by EventScotland, part of VisitScotland’s Events Directorate, through its National Funding Programme.
