BIKRAM Yoga Southside is hosting a special Glowga – glow-in-the-dark yoga class with neon lights – charitably donations class at 8.15pm on Monday 6th October with all proceeds going to Spirit Aid. ...

And the yoga studio will match the total funds raised on the night.

Linda Ibrahim, who co-founded the Shawlands-based yoga studio with partner Louis Stewart, said: “Our Glowga is a great way for people to raise their own spirts through Bikram Yoga whilst raising funds for Spirit Aid, the humanitarian relief charity that does incredible work for children throughout the world.

“The session is free; all that’s required is a charitable donation to Spirit Aid: but remember to wear white or fluorescent clothing. There will be dance music playing during the class and all attendees will get a free glo wristband.”

Glaswegian actor David Hayman, who founded Spirit Aid to help children whose lives have been devastated by war, genocide, poverty, abuse or lack of opportunity at home and abroad, said: “This Glowga event is an inspired way to help raise, not only your own spirits, but the spirits of those many children in need around the world.

“By lighting up the dark with their generosity, southsiders can help brighten the prospects for children across the world.”
