You are invited to the press launch of Merchant City Festival 2011 Programme at Metropolitan cocktail bar and restaurant, Merchant Square, Candleriggs, Glasgow G1 1LE at 6pm on Thursday 21st July.
Topping 70,000 attendances over four days last year, organisers are celebrating the Festival’s tenth anniversary with its most ambitious programme yet – incorporating 130 events across 54 venues under various strands, including dance, music, street arts, theatre, visual arts, comedy and sport.
Festival highlights include the world premiere of Mischief La-Bas’ Festival of Fudge, which celebrates the best of British ‘home-grown’ and local culture; the return of the Comic Club; a packed music programme over three outdoor stages; Italian, Continental and Scottish markets and a fully interactive Family Fun Trail throughout the Merchant City.
