You are invited to the press launch of Tallulah and the TeenStars, the debut children’s novel by actress and singer Clare Grogan, former lead singer of Altered Images and star of Gregory’s Girl, Red Dwarf and East Enders, in the library at Notre Dame High, 160 Observatory Road, Glasgow G12 9LN from 2.45pm – 3.45pm on Thursday 9th October 2008.

Based loosely on the early days of being in Altered Images, Tallulah and the TeenStars tells the tale of Teresa Gordon, an ordinary girl living in an ordinary street, who dreams of being a pop star, and much of the action takes part at school.

The book launch will mark the first time that Clare has returned to her former school, and the first time she will be reunited with her English teacher (now Notre Dame principal) since leaving at the age of 17 to pursue her acting and singing career.

As well as Clare reading a short extract from the book to a class of pupils, there will be photo opportunities of Clare alongside a life-size illustration of Tallulah, together with Notre Dame pupils.

Clare will be available for interview on the day.
